We are seeking a fun, enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to a young adult with complex needs and two other children with basic needs within our family home. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, personal care, and ensure the well-being of our children. A suitable candidate would also be someone who can communicate clearly and effectively in English with a young adult who is nonverbal. Ideally to live locally to the family home as the role does not offer accommodation or require overnight care.

Duties:

- Assist children with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Follow care plans and provide companionship to children

- Help with housekeeping tasks and meal preparation

- Monitor and report changes in children's health status

- Provide emotional support and encouragement to children

Skills:

- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the whole family

- Good team working skills to work alongside another carer as part of a care team

- Familiarity with care plans and procedures in a family home care environment

- Proficiency in English to communicate clearly with the family

- Valid driver's license for transportation needs

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week
