Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and independence. The ideal candidate will possess a caring attitude and a commitment to helping others.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required. Administer medications as per care plans and assist with mobility needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate personnel. Support clients in engaging in social activities and hobbies to promote their well-being.

Skills

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Empathy and patience to provide compassionate care. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols related to personal care. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.

Pay: 12.22-13.90 per hour
