Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans while ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients. This role requires a proactive approach to assisting with daily living activities and fostering a supportive environment.

Duties

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when necessary Maintain accurate records of care plans and client progress Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards Participate in team meetings to discuss client care strategies and improvements

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communication purposes Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when needed A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care

Pay: 12.50-19.50 per hour
