Job Description

Mosaic 1898 Direct Payments Support Service are assisting a young 17-year-old Male to recruit a Self- Employed Personal Care Assistant, in the LE2 area.

There are no set hours; hours of work are on an ad-hoc basis to be confirmed with employer.

Essential Criteria:

It is essential for the PA to hold a valid drivers license and have access to own car- business use insurance necessary. A good understanding of caring for individuals with special needs, especially Autism. Be willing to accept any trainings offered to improve skills and knowledge. Assist in shopping Teach independent living Most importantly be willing to take the individual to outdoor activities and adventures in their car. Work with parents to do a risk assessment for all activities. PA must be wiling to stay at individuals' home for nighttime support if required. To assist in all areas of personal hygiene needs as required.

The PA should:

meet the job's physical requirements (eg. moving & handling) Arrive at the required times ready to work. Contact immediately if going to be more than 15 minutes late. Establish close working relationship on one-to-one basis. If problems arise, discuss & resolve immediately. Maintain confidentiality, respect privacy of employer.
If you are invited to interview, you will be required to bring documentation proving your entitlement to work in the UK.
As a condition of employment, you may be required to obtain a DBS.
Self-Employed PA must have employment insurance
