Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a positive and supportive environment. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition. Follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each client. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Document client progress and report any changes in condition. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members are beneficial. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 11.44-20.59 per hour
