Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Prepare meals and assist with feeding as required. Administer medication according to care plans and monitor clients' health. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred. Ability to read and understand care plans thoroughly. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proficiency in IT for maintaining records and communicating with team members. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. A caring attitude with a strong desire to help others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
