Job Summary

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or home care settings. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities while promoting their independence and well-being. This position requires excellent communication skills, a compassionate nature, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

Duties

Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport. Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet each client's specific needs and preferences. Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to enhance their quality of life. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and using care management software. A valid driving licence is necessary for transporting clients as required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times. Compassionate attitude towards providing personal care and support to individuals in need.

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
