Job Purpose:

I am a friendly gentleman with Parkinson's who is seeking a Personal Assistant to support me with everyday living tasks such as personal care, domestic care, meal preparation, transfers and assisting me to access the community.


Due to my Parkinson's I am prone to falls, when this happens I require someone who can help guide me up by explaining each step that I need to take. I also require someone to ensure that my medication is taken at the right time of day and to keep a diary of the daily tasks that have been completed.

Previous experience of working in a care role Previous experience of working with someone with a neurological disorder Willing to take up training as required

Summary terms and conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is 12.50 per hour Mileage: 45p per mile You will be reimbursed for any agreed expense as part of this role Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers If the role includes any of the following: manual Handling, handling of hazardous chemicals or food handling, you will be required to undertake annual training Hours and days of work: 8 hours every Thursday 8.30am to 5pm. Potential for more hours on other days

The post is subject to the following:

A satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
