I am looking for a kind, reliable, and patient personal assistant to support me with day-to-day tasks and help me maintain my independence. I am a young adult living with long-term health conditions and neurodivergence (including ADHD). I value a calm, organised, and supportive environment.
I enjoy arts and crafts, health and nutrition, nature, wellbeing, and spending time with my dog. I am working towards building confidence, staying organised, and gradually increasing my independence, so I am looking for someone who is understanding, encouraging, and happy to work alongside me.
This post can be considered a job share between two PAs.
Location: IP20
Support with personal hygiene and personal care
Meal preparation, including nutritious home-cooked meals, bulk cooking, and occasional baking
Light household tasks
Assistance with sorting paperwork and daily correspondence
Keeping the home organised and tidy
Encouraging and supporting my independence
Providing companionship and emotional support to support wellbeing
Any other reasonable duties as required
Person specification
Essential:
Female (due to personal care needs)
Dog-friendly
Organised and able to use initiative
Comfortable supporting someone who may be quiet some days and chatty on others
Kind, patient, compassionate and positive
Able to fully respect confidentiality and my privacy at all times
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.
While not essential, having similar interests
Summary of terms and conditions
The pay rate for this position is 12.38 per hour for employed PAs and 14.94 per hour for self-employed PAs.
Hours and times of work: 17 hours per week. Time discussed further at interview.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
