I am a 48-year-old lady living with multiple chronic illnesses and am looking to recruit a weekend Personal Assistant to support me with normal daily tasks. I can become mentally and physically tired quite quickly, so a quiet, kind and calm nature is very important. You will need to use your own initiative, be proactive, and allow me space to rest regularly. An interest in gardening/plants, arts and crafts, and a genuine love for animals would be beneficial.

Location: Gooderstone, PE33

The role involves supporting me with:
Personal care (when required)
Food preparation and domestic household tasks
Food shopping occasionally
Walking my dog or letting her outside for toilet breaks
Any other reasonable duties as requested.



Person specification
Essential:
Female (due to personal care element)
Respectful and proactive and able to use your own initiative
Animal lover
Someone with patience, compassion, kind nature and a positive attitude
The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for my privacy.
Desirable:
Shared interests (animals, gardening, arts and crafts)
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs.



Summary of terms and conditions
The pay rate for this position is 15.00 per hour for employed PAs and 18.10 per hour for self-employed PAs.
Hours and times of work: 10 hours at weekends (5 hours Saturday and 5 hours Sunday). Time to be discussed further at interview.
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

The post is subject to the following:
A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
