Despite my different health conditions, including autoimmune disorders, I am a 50-year-old lady with great humour and a light spirit. These, among others, ADHD, include fibromyalgia and Addison's Disease. I also have mobility issues and use a crutch indoors/outdoors and an electric wheelchair for longer distances outdoors. I am semi-retired and work as a counsellor 3 days a week in the afternoons. I have many hobbies, such as photography, building dollhouses, and quilting. However, despite this, I can get depressed at times.





As a Personal Assistant, you must be enthusiastic about communicating with and supporting me in a person-centred manner.


I am looking for a personal assistant (FEMALE due to nature of personal care work)

for bank hours to cover sickness and holidays as and when required

:


to cover the position of three Personal Assistants for a

permanent flexible contract

. As the three personal Assistants share the rota, you would only

cover part of the week at a time (if 1 Personal Assistant is away, the maximum hours you might cover is 9 hours - 3 days)



Pay Rate 17.52 per hour



The schedule requested from you would be as follows (partial cover for each time):

Mondays: 2 1/4 hours - PA 1 Tuesdays: 4.5 hours -PA2 Wednesday: 2 hours -PA3 Thursdays: 2 hours - PA2 Fridays: 4.5 hours -PA3 Saturdays: 2 hours -PA3 Sundays: 2 hours -PA1


evening hours (around 5 or 5.30pm)

. Friday: 1.5hours evening- fortnightly

. Saturday: 1.5hours evening- fortnightly

. Sundays: 1.5hours evening- fortnightly

. Mondays: 1.5 hours evening- fortnightly

The jobs entail:


1. Preparing breakfast,
2. Prior experience with helping with personal care (shower/dressing/hair drying),
3. Preparing a hot meal with "Hello Fresh".
4. You will also remind me to take my medication and prepare my lunch pack for work.
5. Tuesday and Friday will include social hours in which you would either do crafts with me or take me out to appointments/ coffee, etc.

6. Fortnightly there are some evening hours that are offered to you for dinner/ personal care on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (possibly Monday) when my husband goes away to visit his ill father. These are around 5pm and last for 1.5hours. Again these are on a cover basis.

Working as part of a team is also

essential

. This is an employed position funded by Social Services.



Communication using technology such as a Brighthr app (rota) on your phone and a WhatsApp group is necessary for this job.

Summary terms and conditions:



The rate of pay for this position is 17.52 per hour.


-Hours and times of work

: Cover sickness and holidays as and when required.



Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position.


The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.


Access to free training for employed workers.


If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.




The post is subject to the following:





A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.


Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.


Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
