PA needed for young man with Functional Neurological disorder.

This young man uses both a powered and manual wheelchair due to weakness in all limbs. This young person has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which was changed to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. This person has lost feeling from his waist down which has not fully returned.

Tasks needed

Encourage and support with personal care as needed Support with irrigation machine if needed Support with dressing/undressing as needed Support to make connections with new friends Ensuring there is access to food and drink Encouragement to have a healthy diet Support with shopping Support with domestic tasks and complete tasks if needed Support with cooking safely Provide car transport to enable access the community (this person enjoys gaming, shopping for clothes, listening to music, watching TV and going to the cinema) Monitor mental and physical health Ensure medication is taken correctly during times he has had a seizure Pick up medication from pharmacy Provide support as required with transfer and mobility Encourage young person to do physio exercises to build strength and stamina Support with his short term memory

Hourly rate

16.47 for self-employed PA's

Hours required

15 hours per week
