Direct Payment Personal Assistant Required
I am looking to recruit a Female Direct Payment Personal Assistant for my 16-year-old daughter.Hours wanted:10hours per week term time. Specific days and timings to be discussed.
More about the young person:
This person has been diagnosed with Edwards Syndrome, a life-limiting condition that results in significant physical and learning needs. She also has a diagnosis of autism.
This person functions at a much younger developmental age. Although she is verbal, her speech is limited to short words and sentences. She is a happy child with a good sense of humour and a determined personality. She enjoys a range of activities including going for walks, outdoor play, baking and cooking, completing puzzles, and engaging in arts and crafts.
This person has no awareness of danger and therefore, requires close supervision at all times when out in the community. Support can be provided both within the home and when accessing activities outside.
This person
has a significant need for support to develop her personal care skills. This role will include support with female personal hygiene and, as her needs progress, assistance with showering or bathing.
Experience needed:
Needs someone who has experience working with children with disabilities, supporting with personal hygiene and bathing and ideally be Ofsted registered.
Hourly rate:
16.47 for self-employed PA's
12.55 for employed PA's
