Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, particularly seniors and those with specific care requirements. This role involves delivering high-quality care in various settings, including home care environments, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required.

Skills

Experience in dementia care and senior care is highly desirable. Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial. Ability to manage behaviours effectively while maintaining a calm and supportive approach. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as necessary. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
