We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a supportive environment.
Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure health and safety.
Support individuals with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities and autism, in daily tasks and social interactions.
Administer medication as per care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Engage in cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for patient mobility assistance.
Document vital signs and any changes in the client's condition accurately.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients, particularly those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
Qualifications
Previous experience in home health, assisted living, group home, or nursing home settings is preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred but training is available.
Experience in caregiving or long-term care environments is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is beneficial.
