We're looking to hire two experienced female carers, required for dedicated one-to-one support over 7 days a week, split shifts. This position will be long term for the right candidates. We are a home care provider looking to recruit committed, compassionate, loyal female carers to support a client with a recent diagnosis of Dementia, and to follow a personalised care plan. You will be required to provide consistent, one-to-one care, building a trusting relationship with the service user and her family, in order to make a real difference to their daily life.
This role offers the opportunity to work regular hours, providing holistic support across morning, afternoon, and evening, over a 7 day period.
Shift 1 (Ref: PLS 20251)
Saturday and Sunday:
Morning 8.30 -9.30,
Lunchtime 13.00 - 14.00,
Evening 19.30 -20.30
extra 2 hour escorting client to church on Sunday
Shift 2 (Ref: PLS 20252)
Monday - Friday
Morning 8.30 - 9.30
Afternoon 15.45 -16.45
Evening 19.30 -20.30
Interviews will take place on Saturday 26th November (9.30 - 12.30)
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate personal care to resident, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Supervise medications as prescribed and monitor, record or advise, patients for any changes in health status.
Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, including medication administration and changes in behaviour or condition.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving residents to appointments or social activities.
Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed effectively.
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.
Skills
Experience working with clients or patients with Dementia and the practices surrounding it, is highly desirable.
Ability to provide emotional support during possible, future challenging times.
Strong meal preparation skills, ensuring that dietary needs are met with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with the client and their families.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
