Female Carer/Personal Assistant/ Criver/Companion part time positions are required to provide personal and practical assistance, to enable myself live a more independent life.

Driving. It is an essential part of the job role be able to drive and have a clean driving licence. I have a large wheelchair accessible van to get myself out and about. Due to my health

I

am unable to use public transport.

I require 2:1 care and so the successful candidate will be working as part of a team. For the right candidate we would take on someone without previous experience as they would be able to learn my needs on the job. Ideally the candidate must be outgoing and have a fun personality. I have quadriplegia cerebral palsy. I use a power chair to get around in. I love to go out shopping , visiting new places , going for walks etc. I also love hair and beauty, music, art, cooking, football ( this is part of my weekends, going to watch) and good conversations. My disability is physical not cognitive. I make my own decisions on my daily life and activities and need help to these . The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative at times

MAIN DUTIES:

As part of a team you will be required to

Escort and support me to events and outings. Assistance with personal care; to help with washing, toileting and dressing needs .

Assistance at meal time's with feeding.

Meal preparation if required too.

Assistance to complete daily physio exercises and to attend therapy /hospital appointments .

Assistance with light shopping tasks.

Assistance with domestic duties; laundry, changing my bed, cleaning and dusting my areas of the house, rooms and washing

Provide companionship.

To support me on holidays . This could be from one night away to a full week.

Supporting me to live an enriched and fulfilled life, focussed on my individual hobbies, preferences and abilities.

To work flexibly as part of a team Is essential.

You will be required to maintain high personal standards at all times in the home and out and dress appropriately for the job role.

Working Hours: Varied hours per week, to be worked between : Monday-Sunday To work between the hours of 08.30-21.00 on shift rota. In the future, there may be some nights. May be able to offer more hours. Must be flexible. . Occasionally a 06.00am start will be required when I am working as an extra on tv. Night times would be discussed in the future.

Exact working times are to be discussed directly with the prospective employer and can change from week to week.

Rate of Pay: 12.21 per hour

Successful applicants must like pets (cats, dogs etc)

The successful applicant for this role will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Job Type: part time hours. Would consist of a mixture of a full days and a part days.

English language is essential.

Licence/Certification:

Clean Driving Licence is required fo this roll.
