The role of a
Personal Development Tutor
(
Care Experienced Young People)
is to undertake the role of the Designated Teacher for Care Experience young people within the college and to work with multi agency professionals to ensure individualised support and positive outcomes for our most vulnerable young people.
You will develop effective working partnerships with subject teachers, parents/carers and other stakeholders to support students on their personal development journey with the College, monitor students' overall performance in college, including progress, attendance, planning for next steps and overall personal development. The post holder would be required to undertake a programme of group and one to one tutorial's with each student to review their progress against targets, this includes signposting students, and supporting them to access, the wider range of services and support available through the College.
The successful candidate must:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification
GCSE English (A*-C or 4-9) GCSE Maths (A*-C or 4-9) or willing to undertake training to achieve this qualification within 12 months of appointment Experience of acting as a Designated Teacher for Care Experienced
Full UK Driving License and access to own transport
