Salary: 28,282 to 30,881 per annum, pro rata (26,839 to 29,306 per annum)

Location: Post 1: Crewe Campus, the work pattern will be Monday and Thursday 8:30-17:00, Tuesday and Wednesday 12:30-21:00, Friday 8:30-16:30 (the work pattern can be subject to change)
Post 2: Ellesmere Port/Chester Campus, the work pattern will be Monday and Tuesday 8:30-17:00, Wednesday and Thursday 12:30-21:00 and Friday 8:30-16:30 (the work pattern can be subject to change)
New opportunities have arisen for inspirational people to join our College in the role of Personal Development Tutor, to provide support for adult learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Support adult learners with academic/personal progress and review against targets on an individual basis in line with the College frequency standard. Insisting on high ambitions for all learners;
Support adult learners in accessing the shared Adult Personal Development platform so that learners can access online tutorials on key personal development activities and themes including Skills development, Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity and the PREVENT agenda;
Deliver targeted one-to-one meetings for adult learners;
Meet with relevant managers and staff to discuss pastoral issues affecting any adult learners giving concern and, where necessary, to refer learners to more specialist services;
Deliver initial information, advice and guidance on career aims through an individual review; and*
Assist in the delivery of group tutorial sessions and activities for 16- 18 learners that will cover key personal development themes including Resilience, Employability, British Values, Equality and Diversity and the PREVENT agenda, if required.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
Level 4 qualification;
GCSEs C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent*);
Excellent personal tutor, advisor or mentor skills;
Excellent knowledge of tutorial themes;
Experience of working with adults and an understanding of the barriers they may face in finding work or further study;
Experience in supporting people with initial mental health concerns;
Good working knowledge of target setting and review methods;
Ability to work with empathy and sensitivity; and*
Enhanced DBS check.
