Job Overview

As a Pest Control Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of residential, agricultural and commercial properties by effectively managing pest infestations. You do not need any prior experience within Pest Control. All training will be provided. (RSPH L2). You will be responsible for identifying pest problems, applying appropriate treatments, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a keen eye for detail, health & safety knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. You will receive a company van, laptop & mobile phone to conduct your work.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points. Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to individual client needs. Apply pesticides and other treatments safely and in accordance with industry regulations. Educate clients on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment. Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment details and client interactions. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Follow health and safety guidelines to protect yourself, clients, and the environment.

Skills

Strong attention to detail to accurately identify pests and assess treatment options. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and explaining treatment processes. Problem-solving abilities to develop effective pest control strategies. IT skills for Online Portal use via mobile/laptop/tablet. (Basic) Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, or working in confined spaces. Basic knowledge of pest biology and behavior is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Some working Farm knowledge is advantageous. A valid driving license is essential for travelling between job sites.
