Duties

Lead and manage daily operations of the pet store, ensuring a high standard of customer service and satisfaction. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment that encourages professional growth. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, merchandising, and maintaining stock levels to optimise sales. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve store targets while promoting pet welfare. Maintain store presentation standards through effective merchandising techniques. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting to ensure efficient store operations. Communicate effectively with customers regarding product knowledge, pet care advice, and services offered. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store.

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail management or a supervisory role within a similar environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer engagement. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele. Strong organisational skills with effective time management capabilities. Experience in sales management and merchandising is advantageous. Proficiency in administrative tasks, including phone etiquette and record keeping. A genuine passion for animals and their welfare is essential.
