Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Balderton prison dispensary.


The pharmacy dispenses 3500 items per week and is a offender health dispensing service. It provides offsite dispensing for offender health patients and is a non-patient facing role.


It is situated in a community setting which is in a shared building on a high street with good public transport links and on street car parking. It has a large dispensary and a staff room. It has a strong partnership between HMP sites and the pharmacy team.

5:30pm

. The dynamic and experienced team at this pharmacy is comprised of

Pharmacist branch manager, pharmacy technician, trainee pharmacy technician, ACT, trainee ACT, 7 pharmacy assistants and 2 pharmacy students.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You'll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits


We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.


We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we've put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
