Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Hoyland Common in Barnsley.


This community pharmacy is commutable from Sheffield and surrounding areas and is located next to a surgery in which it has a good relationship with.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

It dispenses 2000 week, It provides a wide range of services including blood pressure, nms, pharmacy first, contraception, covid and flu vaccines). It provides services to 13 substance misuse patients and 2 care homes - 1 wit 5 beds and 1 with 37 beds. It dispenses 115 community blisters.

This pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm.


The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of 1 Team Leader/ Accuracy checker, 1 trainee technician and 3 qualified dispensers.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You'll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits


We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.


We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we've put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
