The Part-Time Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective dispensing of medications while providing high-quality patient care and counseling. This role supports pharmacy operations on a flexible schedule, including weekends or evenings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
Monitor drug inventory, storage conditions, and expiration dates
Provide immunizations and basic health screenings (if certified)
Deliver excellent customer service and resolve patient concerns professionally
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the practicing jurisdiction
Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication safety
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in community pharmacy
Immunization certification
Familiarity with pharmacy management software
