Job Description

SPA Chemist is a independent community pharmacy, based in Blaenau Ffestiniog. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed pharmacist to guide our pharmacy to its fullest potential. It is more than adequately staffed with experienced staff members, it requires a full-time pharmacist manager to oversee operations and explore the full potential of the business.

The job role entails: -

Managing the team to deliver and maintain vital services for the community. These include common ailments, emergency supply, supervised administration, EHC and contraception, needle exchange, smoking cessation, and flu vaccination.

Providing the community with private services; ear micro-suction, weight loss services, travel vaccination services.

If already an independent prescriber - offering the Acute Conditions Service, however, the company will aid you in completing your course if you have not yet completed this training.

Being willing to learn the above if not already trained- training will be provided at no cost to the applicant and will be fully supported by the company including providing a DMP.

Maintain the already high service level in the pharmacy and store and ensure that the ethos of SPA Chemist is met.

Aid in dispensary and pharmacy stock ordering and work within budget guidelines set between you and the company.

Hours of work - 45 hours per week.

Working hours are on a 2-week rota basis of finishing 5:30pm one week then 6:30pm the other.

```Duties:```
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department
- Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to patients
- Facilitate the training the development of staff
- Provide exceptional patient service and address any concerns or questions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Ensure existing stock levels are maintained to a level that meets the needs of the business
- Maintain existing business levels through NHS And Private Services
- Maintain inventory levels and order medications as needed
- Monitor medication adherence and provide counseling to patients
- Monitor and control operating expenses
- Stay up-to-date with new medications and changes in medical terminology
- Train and supervise pharmacy staff

```Requirements:```
- Masters degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical guidelines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills for managing electronic health records and inventory systems
