We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care through the accurate dispensing of medications and the delivery of pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide expert advice on medication therapies and patient care to healthcare professionals and patients.
Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions and contraindications.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimise patient treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and health management strategies.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions in accordance with best practices.
Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in pharmacology and patient care.
Experience
Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is essential; ICU experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to medication administration.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient care with a focus on safety and efficacy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
