Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care, particularly in critical care settings. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication management, patient counselling, and contributing to the overall health outcomes of our patients.

Duties

Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. Prepare and dispense medications accurately while adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimise patient care plans, especially for those in ICU settings. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and regulations affecting pharmacy practice.

Skills

ICU experience is highly desirable to manage complex medication regimens effectively. Strong patient care skills to ensure comprehensive support for individuals receiving treatment. In-depth knowledge of human anatomy to understand the physiological effects of medications. Proficient in medication administration techniques and protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing prescriptions and records.
