You will play a pivotal part in our services, providing support and working closely with medical, nursing, pharmacy staff and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) on a regular basis. Alongside attending ward rounds, you will also have the opportunity to partake in various MDT teaching, audits and service improvement projects. This is a unique oppurtunity to work at the forefront of patient care and support some of our most vunlerable populations. Attend regular consultant-led Post-Take Ward Rounds and Medicine for the Elderly ward rounds
Provide an extended hours clinical pharmacy service to the AMU and AAU wards at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospital sites, which includes working early and late shifts as well as regular weekends
Be a key member of the multidisciplinary team
Provide education and training to the multidisciplinary team
Give advice at the point of prescribing thereby ensuring adherence to Trust policies and promoting antimicrobial stewardship
Supervise and train junior pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians (MMPTs) and Assistant Technical Officers (ATO's)
Further develop your clinical and management skills
To lead on medicine management initiatives for Emergency, Acute and Elderly Medicine patients
To prepare expenditure reports for Emergency, Acute or Elderly Medicine directorates and attend directorate meetings if required.
