We have an exciting opportunity for a Prescribing Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way.



Practice Plus Group are delighted to have been awarded the healthcare contract for HMP Fosse Way, Category C resettlement prison in Leicester from 1st July 2025.



HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state of the art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 55,941 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As the Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will:


Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management services Prescribing medication Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians

Qualifications & Experience

Registered Pharmacist - holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training Relevant post qualification

Although not essential, this would ideally suit an applicant with at least 1 years experience in a hospital setting.
