We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Pharmacist to work in
a multi-functional role, working as part of the Yorkshire
team. You will lead on the delivery of integrated, safe, high quality and effective pharmacy services across the region.
Hours
22.5 hours a week, working 3 days a week, flexible on what days, hours are 8.30-4.30pm. Dedicated to working one day at HMP Newhall and Askham Grange, the rest working from home.
Salary
This position is part time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 60,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Regional Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary. You will;
Work as part of the Yorkshire regional team, leading on the delivery of integrated, safe, high quality and effective pharmacy services
You will provide aspirational professional leadership for regional pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy assistants providing expert advice and guidance, promoting best practice in medication use on sites, embedding clinical supervision and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and statutory frameworks.
You will chair regional medicines management meetings, working closely with the regional lead nurse and regional medical lead and ensure all regional legal requirements are met in relation to medicines management.
Provide expert clinical advice on medicines and poly-pharmacy in line with expected standards, ensuring that safe, modern, medicines management and medicines optimisation service are provided to patients.
You will engage in clinical audits, review drug related incidents and conduct assessments and evaluations to support sites to improve pharmacy provision.
Deliver an integrated, safe, legal and high quality prison pharmacy service, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison population needs.

Qualifications required
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
Relevant post qualification and evidence of continuing professional development
Ability to work effectively across a number of sites providing education, supervision and leadership to teams and colleagues to support service improvement
Knowledge and application of clinical governance and clinical audit
Experience of running an effective and responsive pharmacy service
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
