We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise therapeutic outcomes.

Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
The GPhC is the regulatory body for pharmacists in Great Britain.

2. Education
A
Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)

Completion of a
12-month pre-registration training
(also called the foundation training year).

3. Work Eligibility
Right to work in the UK (British citizenship, settled/pre-settled status, or valid work visa).
If the candidate trained
outside the UK
, they must:
Have their qualification recognized by the GPhC.
Complete an
Overseas Pharmacists Assessment Programme (OSPAP)
before registration.
4. Skills & Competencies
Deep knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceutical legislation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
Communication skills -- for advising patients and working with healthcare teams.
IT proficiency (pharmacy management systems, electronic prescription services).
Ethical judgment and adherence to professional standards.
A. Dispensing & Prescription Management
Accurately dispensing prescribed medicines.
B. Patient Consultation
Advising patients on how to take medications properly.
Providing information on side effects and interactions.
Supporting patients with over-the-counter (OTC) treatments for minor ailments.
C. Clinical Responsibilities
Monitoring patient health and medication efficacy.
Participating in medication reviews and optimization.
Collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
D. Compliance & Safety
Maintaining records for controlled drugs in compliance with the
Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001
.
Reporting adverse drug reactions (via the
MHRA Yellow Card Scheme
).
Following GPhC Standards for Pharmacy Professionals.
E. Management & Administrative Tasks
Supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Managing stock levels and ensuring proper storage of medicines.
Keeping up to date with new drugs, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy laws.
Ensuring the legality, safety, and appropriateness of prescriptions.
Checking for potential drug interactions, allergies, or contraindications.
