We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Brixton. HMP Brixton is a category C prison which will shortly be changing to a category B prison, based in the South West London, close to Brixton underground station.
Within this role you will be working closely with a large established Pharmacy team, and working alongside the Principle pharmacist. The site boasts a newly renovated Pharmacy to enable high quality delivery of pharmacy services. Within this role you will be dispensing, second checking, delivering meds review, supporting with minor ailment clinics, clinical screening scripts.
Independent prescribing qualification is an option and will be supported
Hours
15 hours a week working Tuesday and Friday 8.30am-5pm.
Salary
This position is part time and you'll receive an annual salary up to 63,119 per annum - FTE depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service
Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management services
Support in leading a team of Pharmacy technicians, a team of 9
Deliver an integrated, safe, legal and high quality prison pharmacy service, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison population needs.
Inspire positive and aspirational leadership to the team of pharmacy technicians and the wider healthcare team in order to create and maintain a good working environment and facilitate staff
retention.

Qualifications & Experience
GPhC registered Pharmacist.
Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
Clinical Diploma ideally but not essential
Excellent communication skills
Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
