Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Manager to join our team within our growing independent pharmacy group. You will be based at our pharmacy in Highley, a village, 7 miles south east of Bridgnorth. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your expertise in medication administration and your in-depth knowledge of anatomy will be essential in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services. You will provide excellent customer and patient care with a strong focus on delivering an increasingly growing range of professional pharmacy services. An incentive bonus scheme is available for targeted services delivered.
You will lead a team of experienced and loyal staff to ensure a smooth operation of the pharmacy and be able to work collaboratively with a team-centered approach. Knowledge of the operation of Community Pharmacy is an advantage but not a necessity.
You must have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and a strong focus on business and service development. Salary and hours may be negotiable dependent of experience and what you can bring to the role. Support can also be given in assisting obtaining a DPP to achieve independent prescribing as we recognise this as an important way forward in community pharmacy.
Duties:
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care
- Monitor patient response to medication therapy and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives

As well as providing general pharmaceutical services and additional pharmacy services you will assist in supporting development, morale and welfare for your pharmacy team as well as developing effective teamwork by improving communication, sharing best practice and highlighting successes whilst monitoring improvement and development.
