Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Stenhouse Cross in Edinburgh.


This community pharmacy is commutable from the wider Mid Lothian area and is located on close to supermarkets and local shops. It has a good relationship with the local GP surgeries/health centres.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

It dispenses 6000 items a month, It provides a wide range of services including All Scottish services plus pneumonia, chicken pox, HPV, meningitis, shingles, period delay, hair loss, ED and travel. It provides services to 15 substance misuse patients and 2 care homes - one with 90 beds ad the other with 63. It dispenses XXX community blisters.

This pharmacy is open

Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm and Saturday 9am-1pm

The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of a mixture of full and part time pharmacy assistants, a technician and an ACT.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.


You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.


You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You'll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits


We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.


We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we've put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
