About Us

Dears Pharmacy & Travel Clinic is a modern, patient-first Scottish pharmacy group. We combine community care with innovative services--independent prescribing clinics, Pharmacy First Plus, travel health, vaccination, ear-care, and hub-and-spoke dispensing--to deliver safe, efficient, and friendly healthcare.

The Role

We're hiring a Pharmacist Manager (IP) to lead one of our Edinburgh pharmacies. You'll run high-quality clinical services, manage and develop a talented team, and own day-to-day operations, KPIs, and regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the pharmacy's clinical and operational performance, ensuring outstanding patient experience. Run and grow Independent Prescribing clinics (Pharmacy First Plus, acute & long-term condition management, private services). Deliver and expand services: vaccinations, travel health, ear-care, weight-management, and NHS services. Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs, CD governance, audits, and patient safety. Coach, rota, and develop the team; drive engagement, training, and accountability. Manage KPIs: service growth, items, accuracy, OTC retail performance, and cost control. Collaborate with our central hub to maximise hub-and-spoke and PillPouch capabilities. Build local healthcare and community relationships to grow the pharmacy's profile.
What You'll Bring

GPhC-registered Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber (or IP near completion). Proven community pharmacy leadership/management experience. Confident delivering Pharmacy First/Pharmacy First Plus and private clinical services. Strong clinical judgement, communication, and people-leadership skills. Organised, KPI-driven, and comfortable with digital systems and service booking tools. Right to work in the UK.
Desirable: Travel clinic experience, vaccinations, ear-care/tympanometry, care-home services, and hub-and-spoke familiarity.

What We Offer

Competitive salary plus IP supplement and performance bonus. Protected clinic time and support to build your prescribing caseload. Funded CPD, training, and career progression across our group. Pension, paid GPhC fees, and professional indemnity cover. Generous annual leave and supportive, well-staffed branches. Clear work pattern: Week 1 (Mon-Fri), Week 2 (4 weekdays + Sat).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 55,000.00-65,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
