We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert advice on medication use, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where patient safety and well-being are paramount. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting clinical teams and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. There is an ACT in place, and a second pharmacist to support with services on Monday and Friday.
Duties
Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and safety standards.
Provide expert guidance to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans.
Monitor patient responses to medication therapies and adjust prescriptions as necessary in consultation with medical staff.
Maintain comprehensive and organised records of prescriptions and patient interactions.
Ensure the pharmacy complies with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Ability to provide phamacy services like Pharmacy First, Minor Ailments, BP and ABPM, NMS, Vaccinations (flu, Covid), and PGD's (weight management) is a must.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
Stay informed about new medications, industry developments, and best practices in pharmacy care.
Requirements
Fully qualified Pharmacist with registration from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Able to provide phamacy services like Pharmacy First, Minor Ailments, BP and ABPM, NMS, Vaccinations (flu, Covid), and PGD's (weight management)
Demonstrated ability in medication administration and patient care.
Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Compassionate approach to patient interaction with excellent communication skills.
