We are a UK?wide Distance Selling Pharmacy (DSP) operating under NHS regulations, providing safe and efficient dispensing services to patients nationwide. We have been operating over the last 4 years and as a DSP, we dispense NHS and Private prescriptions received electronically or by post, and deliver medicines directly to patients -- without patient face?to?face contact at our premises.

We also provide Care Homes services and deliver NHS services to support our patients.

We take pride in running a robust, compliant, and patient?centric remote pharmacy service, and are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead our pharmacy operations and quality assurance but not only that........

Since opening in 2021, we have grown significantly and as a result, are moving to larger premises in Runcorn in the first quarter of 2026 to ensure we have the capacity to realise our ambition. This opportunity is an integral role in the next step of our journey which includes the development of prescribing services, telehealth clinics and wholesale operations as well as maintaining our NHS prescriptions business.

Role Summary



As our Pharmacist Manager, you will oversee all pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory and legal compliance, lead a team to manage workflows, quality control, and logistics and also focus on business development growth. This growth will include existing NHS revenue streams but also the development of private revenue streams in prescribing and telehealth as well as wholesale operations establishment.

You will have the support of an experienced Superintendent Pharmacist and Responsible Person, a Dispensary Operations Manager, and a competent dispensing team. This will enable your focus to be on the areas that really matter to protect and grow the business and be at the heart of the innovation and diversification outlined as part of our growth strategy.

You will have overall responsibility for:

Ensuring accurate dispensing of prescriptions and safe supply of medicines for UK patients. Oversight of compliance with regulatory standards for DSP pharmacies (safe storage, dispensing protocols, record?keeping, remote service delivery). Supervising, training, and mentoring staff, ensuring high standards of professionalism and patient safety. Managing inventory, stock control, ordering, and secure storage of medicines including controlled substances (if applicable). Implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance systems. Coordinating with logistics/courier services to ensure timely and secure delivery of dispensed medicines to patients. Managing workload, scheduling, and staff allocations to meet operational demands. Customer experience and business development plans Liaising with regulatory bodies and ensuring the official registration and documentation requirements for DSP are maintained (e.g. compliance with regulations under the NHS England / General Pharmaceutical Council frameworks) as well as MHRA and Care Quality Commission

Required Qualifications & Experience



Fully qualified pharmacist (MPharm or equivalent), registered and licensed to practise in the UK (GPhC registration). Substantial experience as a practising pharmacist; prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role preferred. Solid understanding of DSP-specific regulations -- including that DSP pharmacies dispense prescriptions remotely and do not have face?to?face patient contact on site. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills Experience in pharmacy operations management, inventory control, quality assurance, and compliance. Ability to work under pressure, manage teams, adapt to changing workloads, and uphold standards of patient safety. Competence with pharmacy management software / PMR systems, electronic prescriptions, record?keeping, and dispatch/fulfilment workflows. Desirable Skills



Previous experience working in a DSP or remote?dispensing setting. Knowledge of national and NHS statutory requirements for distance?selling pharmacies. Experience implementing SOPs and quality management systems. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to patient confidentiality and safety. Independent Prescriber qualification
