Job Description

A community pharmacy is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacist to join their welcoming and supportive team in Leeds.

The pharmacy is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Pool-in-Wharfedale, Leeds. There is a decent sized shop floor that provides the opportunity for over the counter and add-on sales, and the experienced team have built up excellent customer relationships.

Currently dispensing around 2,700 items per month, giving the Pharmacist an opportunity to take on a challenge and raise this number.

As well as providing excellent customer care, we support the needs and expectations of our patients through the various local, enhanced, and essential NHS services. These include NMS, DMS, CPCS and FLU as well as private services including travel vaccinations.

This role is suitable for both Newly qualified and experienced Pharmacists. Successful candidates have the option to work 4 or 5 days a week.

Opening Hours: Monday and Tuesday 09:00 - 17:30, Wednesday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00, Saturday 09:00 - 12:30 (Branch is closed for lunch from 1-2pm on weekdays)

Key Duties

Maintaining a professional and welcoming approach to all aspects of the role To check prescription medicines to patients, checking the form, strength, dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely labelled and supplied To abide by the GPhC code of ethics, observing and applying all professional, ethical and legal obligations Build strong working relationships with colleagues and health care professionals To keep up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses for the purpose of continuing professional development
