Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective care of our patients.

We are looking for a pharmacist to take on a new and interesting role in general practice filled with learning and new challenges beyond the role of the day to day pharmacist. The role will involve taking on some of work of general practitioners to aid the day to day clinical management of patients at the practice.

We will provide training for each aspect of the job as we do understand part of the role goes beyond the regular duties of a pharmacist, however we feel the pharmacist is in the best position in terms of intelligence and clinical prowess to be in this position. Although experience in assessment of Docman, medicine management and lab reports would be appreciated it is not a requirement. However an ability to learn these areas quickly and effectively and ability to adapt will be important to the work.

The role is a remote role which allows flexibility to work from home however initial training would be better done in person. The role includes 8 hours a day 3-5 days a week. No weekend shifts with some flexibility in hours worked.

As part of this post you are self employed therefore there is no annual leave payment, sick pay, employer NI or pensions but allows for a higher pay scale and flexibility to work more.

Responsibilities

The role will involve:

- Assessing and managing patient hospital and multi disciplinary team documents - Assessment and interpretation of investigations and blood results and deciding on management in safe response - Prescribing medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

A valid pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent regulatory body. Be a pharmacist independent prescriber Experience with EMIS is preferred Experience with Docman is preferred
