About you:

We are looking for someone who has good communication, customer service and organization skills. This is because you will be talking to a variety of patients who will each have individual needs, so these types of skills are very important to us. To help you thrive in a pharmacy setting, you should be punctual not only arriving to work but also meeting deadlines. A friendly personality, keen to progress within your setting, a caring team member, hardworking and have a willingness to learn are all skills we are looking for. No prior experience is necessary. Ability to commute. GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English are desirable but not essential. Driving licence is desirable .

Employer:

Advanced Care Pharmacy. This new pharmacy is based in Cleckheaton, and we are hoping to recruit a hardworking and determined candidate to work within our team of qualified professionals as an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. Full training will be provided with an additional NVQ 2 Dispenser qualification will be offered. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to higher level qualifications.

What are the duties of the role?

Support with patient consultations, Dispensing medicines, General admin, Dealing with phone enquiries, Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software, Checking off and unpacking orders, Stock management and date checking of stock. Processing NHS and private prescriptions,

What you will gain:

By deciding to take this opportunity to become a pharmacy assistant apprentice, you will gain: Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant apprenticeship standard, which includes: Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required). End-Point Assessment (EPA)

In-house training. All training is delivered remotely to the workplace via Teams. There is no travelling involved for training.
