Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient dispensing of medications. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring expiry dates of medications. Support medication administration as required, following all safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Perform administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions, processing payments, and managing phone inquiries.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with medication administration and pharmacy technician duties is preferred. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of providing compassionate patient care. Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.

The opening hours are 9-6pm Mon to Fri and 9-1pm Sat. Prior experience in pharmacy is not necessary. Please specify which days and hours you can work and if you can speak any other languages when applying.
