Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy assistant to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team dedicated to improving our services within the St Mark's Pharmacy team. You will work with the dispensary and medicines management teams to help implement, deliver and continually improve services provided for both out-patients in particular those patients receiving home parenteral support as well as supporting with in-patient work. We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for this area of work in hospital pharmacy. Your role will involve helping to implement, deliver and continually improve the Pharmacy services within the St Mark's Pharmacy team and the wider department.
You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a large multi-disciplinary team. You must also be friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills and committed to continuous professional development.
Note as this is a fixed term post we are unable to offer ACAD (accuracy checking for dispensers qualification), however should this post become permanent this would be reviewed.
Main duties of the job
The department actively promotes development, education and training. To apply you will need to have good GCSEs or equivalent and obtained a full NVQ level 2/level 3 in pharmacy services or equivalent.This is a 12 month fixed term post and the post holder will be required to participate in the weekend & bank holiday rota and the late night duty rota.The London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust consists of Northwick Park in Harrow, Central Middlesex and St Mark's hospitals in Park Royal, and Ealing Hospital.
