You will ideally have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Dispensing services, although full training will be given to the right candidate. You will be working in a busy independent community pharmacy and will want to strive to offer the best possible service to our patients and customers. This position requires excellent attention to detail, I.T. skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
You will be working under the supervision of the pharmacist carrying out all the duties required in a pharmacy, whilst adhering to legal and professional standards. This includes preparing and dispensing prescriptions, dealing with surgeries and other health professionals, advising patients, preparing orders. St Dennis Pharmacy also carries out a number of other services including Minor Ailments, NHS Health Checks, Health Promotion campaigns and compliance aids. There is the opportunity for further training to help develop your career with us.
The position is for 5 days per week. Our opening hours at present are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am to 12 noon on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. There would be a requirement to work some Saturday mornings. There is a 1 hour lunch break between 1-2.
Salary is dependant on qualifications and experience (salary stated based on NVQ2 dispenser). We offer 20% staff discount and 4 weeks holiday.
