We are a long established and well-run independent pharmacy looking for a healthcare assistant to join our team. Experience would be beneficial, but not essential as we will provide all training and support to reach a Healthcare Assistant qualification.
We are looking for someone to work on Saturdays and 1 weekday afternoon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student either studying pharmacy or looking to apply to university in the healthcare field. Candidates should be eager to learn and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, as part of an established team.
The position is for 8.5 hours a week working from 4-7pm on one weeknight (tbc) and Saturdays 9-2.30pm
Duties to include:
Unpacking and checking medicine and counter deliveries.
Interacting with customers both in store and over the telephone.
General shop duties.
Labelling and dispensing prescriptions.
Preparing medication trays (dossettes).
A successful candidate should show initiative, be reliable and punctual, conscientious, and work well within a team.
Salary will depend on experience.
