We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Heathrow IRC, Immigration removal centre located in West Drayton
Hours
The site currently offers Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 28,800 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
• Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
• Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
• Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
• Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
• Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

Qualifications required

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/Dispensing - essential
• Medicines handing experience
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Prior to joining Practice Plus Group I spent almost 10 years working in community, but I have found that the prison environment is where I feel I can utilise my skills and truly make a difference.
