Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser to join our healthcare team at our established branch in Stockmoor Village.
The position is Full Time: Monday - Friday: 8:45am - 6:15pm, plus occasional Saturdays 9am - 1pm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for serving patients on the counter, delivering sound medical advise, accurately dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of pharmacy services. Responsibilities

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with pharmacy procedures and legal requirements Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards Organise stock levels, check expiry dates, and reorder supplies as necessary Uphold strict confidentiality of patient information at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management

Qualifications

Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not essential
