Duties

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements Assist pharmacists with medication management and inventory control Prepare and label medication containers clearly and correctly Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, including potential side effects and storage instructions Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and patient interactions Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards Uphold strict confidentiality of patient information at all times Assist with general pharmacy duties such as stock replenishment and cleanliness of the work area

Requirements

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or relevant role within a pharmacy setting is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy assistance or technician training is advantageous Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations
