About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser

to join our dynamic pharmacy team. In this pivotal role, you will support the safe, efficient, and patient-centred delivery of pharmaceutical services. Working closely with the Pharmacist and wider healthcare team, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate preparation, dispensing, and supply of medicines while maintaining a caring and professional service for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately dispense and label prescriptions in line with SOPs and legal requirements. Support the Pharmacist in the safe and effective delivery of all pharmacy services. Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient queries with professionalism and empathy. Manage stock levels, including ordering, rotation, and date checking to ensure product integrity. Assist in the preparation and assembly of monitored dosage systems (MDS/blister packs). Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant dispensary environment. Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times. Contribute to achieving branch performance targets and supporting new service launches.

Skills and Experience

NVQ Level 2 (Dispensing Assistant) or equivalent qualification required. Experience working in a community pharmacy or similar healthcare setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. IT-literate with experience using PMR systems ( ProScript Connect).

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
