How is a GP Practice different to a Pharmacy?

Dispensing in a GP Practice is to our own patients only, with no over the counter services and, as a Welsh-registered Practice, with no cash handling. A Practice allows excellent job satisfaction in getting to know patients and the supportive Practice team, promoting job development in liaison with the GP, trainee and Nurse prescribers and a strong sense of community membership. You'll not be pigeonholed into one task either, with plenty of daily variety and dispensing skills to nurture.

We're also only open 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday, with AM and PM shifts of ~5 hours each, so no late nights, weekend working or Bank Holidays!

Why work for us?

The Wye Valley Practice is a patient-centred, welcoming & compassionate GP practice focused on providing gold standard patient care, staff wellbeing and medical training. A two-site Practice on the beautiful Wales:England border, registered under the Welsh Aneurin Bevan UHB, we're bustling with activity in all teams; like all General Practice, there is never a dull day ahead!

We encourage staff continuing professional development, with team training and events, as well as opportunities in the many varied roles in the Practice, should you be interested.
