We are now seeking a

Pharmacy Controller (Medicines Management)

to join our dedicated Medicines Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the safe, efficient, and compliant management of medicines across our urgent care sites in London and the surrounding areas.

The Role



Reporting to the

Head of Medicines Management / Medicines Management Pharmacist

, the Pharmacy Controller will take responsibility for the

ordering, control, and auditing of medicines and clinical consumables

, ensuring all procedures comply with current legislation and company policies.

You will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and quality of our medicines management processes while supporting clinical and operational teams across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities



Order and manage medicines and consumables for PHL Urgent Care sites in line with purchasing procedures. Ensure medicines are

stored, rotated, and disposed of

safely and appropriately. Conduct

regular audits

on stock, expiry dates, controlled drugs, cold chain compliance, and drug room standards. Maintain accurate records of all stock control and audit activity. Support with

budget management

and provide reports on predicted vs actual expenditure. Assist with

equipment calibration

and record-keeping for audit purposes. Monitor and order

PPE and sanitising products

in line with infection control policies. Support the rollout of

Electronic Prescribing Services (EPS)

and other medicines management initiatives. Respond to

drug recalls and hazard notices

under the direction of the Medicines Management team. Train staff on medicines management procedures and promote best practice.

About You



We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a

pharmacy or medicines management

setting. Highly organised with

excellent attention to detail

. Knowledgeable about

safe handling, storage, and record-keeping

of medicines. A confident communicator who can work well with both clinical and non-clinical teams. Able to travel across London and nearby areas as part of the role.
